Tom Hiddleston: Small Steps Project

Small Steps Project is a humanitarian organisation and UK registered charity supporting children and their families on rubbish dumps.

We are dedicated to supporting children around the world who live on rubbish dumps and survive from scavenging. We aim to raise awareness, through film, of the unacceptable hardships that they face.
We make documentary films and organise campaigns, such as Celebrity Shoe Auctions, to boost awareness  and funds for of this huge, but often overlooked, global situation.
We deliver shoes, hygiene kits and emergency aid to protect children in the dump environment, followed by sustainable solutions to enable children to take small steps off rubbish dumps and into education. Find out more about Small Steps Project and contact us here.

Tom Hiddleston donated shoes to the Small Steps Project's annual Celebrity Shoe Auction several times. His shoes have raised a combined £7,670 for the charity.

In 2013, Tom donated these Chuck Taylor All Star shoes which sold for £4,500. (This type of shoe is still available and retails for $50).

In 2014, Tom donated these Jimmy Choo Portman shoes which sold for £2,150. (This type of shoe is still available for $695).

In 2015, Tom donated these Hudson Bay Jack Purcell Converse shoes which sold for £1,020. (These shoes are no longer available).

There is currently a fan fundraiser from HiddlesGoddesses trying to raise $10,000 for the Small Steps Project to celebrate their 6th anniversary!
